Women Startup Program Bootcamp in collaboration with NSRCEL IIMB

AIC – SMU Technology Business Incubator organized a bootcamp in collaboration with NSRCEL, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore on 5th-6th June, 2023. This bootcamp was a remarkable CSR initiative by Kotak Mahindra Bank, aimed at empowering aspiring women entrepreneurs and helping them thrive.

The event kicked off with a captivating masterclass on “Product Life Cycle” led by Prof (Dr.) Tej Chingtham. Drawing from his extensive experience, Prof. Chingtham provided valuable insights into the different stages of a product. With numerous examples and case studies, he shed light on the challenges and opportunities that entrepreneurs may encounter at each phase. Participants were inspired by his knowledge and guidance, which will undoubtedly prove instrumental in their entrepreneurial journeys.

Furthermore, Shri Topden Zangpo Bhutia, Deputy Secretary of Commerce and Industries, Government of Sikkim (GoS) highlighted the various offerings from GoS specifically tailored for entrepreneurs. He shared valuable information about the startup ecosystem in Sikkim and introduced the audience to a range of government schemes aimed at supporting and nurturing startups. This session left the startups feeling motivated and excited about the possibilities available to them in Sikkim.

The bootcamp session on Day 2 was led By Ankura Ranade, Vice President of Marketing at Mando’s & MediaWorks on the subject of Digital Marketing, where she delved into the realm of crucial aspect of a startup growth and success. The mentor captivated the audience with two impactful sessions focusing on Leveraging Digital Marketing for Startups and Leveraging Social Media for Branding and Hacks for Content Creation. The sessions explored the immense potential of social media platforms as powerful tools for branding and content creation. Participants were left with actionable tips and tricks to create compelling content and establish their startups as influential brands in the digital space.

We are delighted to share that the bootcamp witnessed an overwhelming participation of 135 startups from 22 states of India, who showcased their passion and commitment towards building successful ventures.
