On 25th February, 2022 the National Startup Awards 2022 Sensitisation Workshop for Sikkim was held by Invest India in collaboration with AIC- SMUTBI Foundation. The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, conceptualized the ‘National Startup Awards’ to
strengthen the startup ecosystem in the country. These awards recognise and reward outstanding startups, founders, and ecosystem enablers that are building innovative products or solutions and scalable enterprises, with high potential of employment generation or wealth creation, demonstrating measurable social impact. This year National Start-up Awards introduced a special category for startups from the ‘North-East and Hilly Regions’.
