About Founder:

Ratan Kumar is the Founder and CEO of Encamp Adventures, providing hassle-free
travel experiences for travelers in North-East India since 2019. Postgraduate in Business Administration from Amity University in marketing and sales, Ratan founded the company, presently incubated at Atal Incubation Centre – SMUTBI, with the sole objective to offer travelers an experience to visit offbeat places in North-East India and stay up close with nature, but in a responsible and sustainable manner. The winner of the business pitching challenge of NERES 1.0 2020 – North-Eastern Council, Government of India, Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, FINER (Aug 2020), Ratan is currently working on making a Carbon Footprint calculator of traveler and offset strategy as an integral part of his company’s operation which has been supported by SAP Ariba, Cisco, and HDFC.

Previously he interned at Ogilvy & Mathers in the client services department and worked as a research analyst in Grail Insights (Sept 2017 – June 2018), where he worked on multiple research profiles for clients ranging from FMCG major (Unilever) to the biggest technology investor (SoftBank) globally. He also worked in the campaign management team at Integreon (Nov 2016 – Aug 2017), assisting Chief Sales Officer worldwide in better delivery of services to the end client.
