Last December,I was traveling from Munich to Mumbai. After reaching to Mumbai Airport, I was waiting for my brother and he would need one hour to reach airport so I headed to cafe.I had ordered a cup of coffee and a piece of cake.
after some time, staff has swapping food products to fresh food.I did not understand,as I had recently bought piece of cake so I was worried about would it be good to consume and I started communicating with the staff and found that a lot of delicious ,edible food is simply getting waste.
In today's digital era, technology could solve communication problem. Here ,cafe would not able to effectively communicate last-minute offer to end consumers. I deep dive into food waste problems and we almost lost 1/3rd food which we produced. According to the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) – despite India wasting food worth about $14 billion a year, according to government figures. On the other hand,194 million Indians goes hungry daily.
After identifying problem, market potential and need of consumers (Food retailers and end consumers ) I have developed prototype of app and tested in local market of my hometown. I have received positive response from food vendors as well as end consumers. I have developed a business model where everyone could win.End conusmer would be win as they are getting good deal ,food business are making extra cash from surplus food item.
Now, I have published beta version of app on google play store. Moreover, we are working on improving app and give the best user experience.

About Founder :
I would like to introduce myself as a young entrepreneur with a startup firm “Good To Take”. This app connects users with businesses that have surplus food so that this food can be enjoyed instead of wasted. I have recently (May 2020 ) completed MBA in General Management from Technical Hochschule Georg Simon Ohm Nuremberg, a German university. This course gave me a sound overall knowledge of leading-edge management principles such as market strategy, competitive analysis, financial management, leadership in an international organization and business ethics amongst other topics.
While pursuing a master's degree, I have gained hands-on experience during working in ITQ GmbH's Innovation Lab where I have learned how to validate and execute idea and make market fit products which could solve a consumer problem. Having developed a sound platform in management, as well as gained international exposure, would be helpful in developing and growing startup successfully. I will put in my best to match the high standards set by company and prove a valuable asset to the organization.
