ABOUT THE COMPANY:

We are a start-up working towards creating products for the differently abled people (Divyangs) using cutting edge technologies like ML, AI, 3D Scanning and 3D printing etc.Our devices will be alternate to the imported assistive devices in the market which are mostly imported from countries like Germany, Israel, the UK, the US etc. In India, the per capita income is very less and most of the differently abled people are unemployed. As a result, they are not able to afford the costly assistive devices available in the market.

Nowadays, the normal people like you and me use AI in every field right from YouTube recommendation algorithms, Facebook friend suggestion etc. to self-driven cars in the US. However, there has not been many significant updates on the use of AI (and 3D printing etc.) on the assistive devices for the differently abled. So we feel the right time is now to bring a change and build assistive devices which are technologically advanced and at the same time making affordable.

Currently we are working on two products:

1. INSIGHT- An AI based Visual Assistive Product(for the visually impaired)

It is a wearable device in the form of sunglasses for the visually challenged(people born blind or people who acquired blindness ). It processes the objects in front of them and give feedbacks to them in the form of audible format. It will help them to not depend on others and do their day-to-day tasks without depending on others. Among many features, some of the features which the device will help them are: identifying the currency which they are holding, reading the text which in front of them, identifying the color of the objects which they are holding(eg. Differentiate between green apples and red apples when they are at a supermarket), recognizing the persons whom they met before and many more features.

2. VIRYA- An alternate advanced Bionic Arm(For upper arm amputees)

The market of robotic prosthetic hands in India is dominated with products from Germany, Russia and the UK etc. These hands are very costly and out of reach for the common people. Moreover the serviceability is an issue as the parts of these hands are equally expensive. As a result many of the amputees in India go for non-functional cosmetic hands or a mechanically controlled hand without any motors or electronics.We are currently working on making an alternate affordable bionic hands which will be able to perform the same functions as these imported one and also is affordable. We also use 3D scanning and 3D techniques to make more customizable bionic hands so as to cater to different types of amputees.(For based on the place where amputation takes place and based on the size of the hands). With our products we believe we can reach out to the differently abled persons in every corner of our country, be it in the cities or the villages. So that they are more empowered and more employable just like you and me.
